Postdoc RT6 – Dr. Sarah Vilain
Dr. Vilain’s areas of Expertise are connections between Cyprus and the Northern Levant in the MBA and LBA; Archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean in the Second Millennium B.C; Ceramic production, technology and circulation; Circulation of goods and people in the Second Millennium B.C.; Cultural and artistic influences in ancient Eastern Mediterranean societies. She acquired her PhD at the at the Université de Strasbourg (France) in Archaeology of the Ancient Near East, under the direction of Prof. D. Beyer (Université de Strasbourg, France) and Prof. Th. Petit (Université Laval, Québec) and gained her Masters at the Université Rennes 2 (France) under the direction of Dr. A. Marangou-Lerat (Université Rennes 2) and Mrs S. Cluzan (Département des Antiquités Orientales, Musée du Louvre). Born in Saint-Nazaire, France, Ms Vilain is a French National and moved to Vienna in January 2017.
