ASOR 2017 ‘THE ENIGMA OF THE HYKSOS II’ WORKSHOP

The team hosted a workshop within this year’s American School of Oriental Research Conference at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in Boston. The core team of Prof. Bietak, Silvia Prell, Anna-Latifa Mourad and Nina Maaranen was joined by other researchers and their contributions, namely Christine Lilyquist (Metropolitan Museum of Art), Aleksandra Ksiezak (University of Toronto), Ezra Marcus (University of Haifa), Danielle Candelora (University of California) and Hendrik Bruins (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev). This international conference with over 1.000 participants from all over the world, was a great opportunity to liaise and network with other researchers. ASOR 2017 (15.11. – 18.11.2017) was a three-day event filled with presentations, talks and discussions and again a platform for the project to give an update on the ongoing work and highlight the forthcoming and to be expected results.
